Programs
The Walworth County Arts Council is a non-profit 501C3 organization tha advances the importance and growth of the arts and cultural activities throughout Walworth County, Wisconsin. The WCAC has programs to help schools to engage students with visual and the performing arts.
We provide great opportunities for schools to compliment their Art Programs. We know that budgets are limited but developing creativity in all children is vital, no matter what careers they choose.
MSO—We are delighted that one of our traditionally favorite features continues to be a success. We will resume the bus from the Park and Ride lot North of Elkhorn, to the beautiful Bradley Symphony Center in Milwaukee. All are for Friday morning performances, departing at about 9:30 and returning mid-afternoon (before dark). Dates are October 10, 2025, February 20, 2026, April 10, and June 5. | Annual Elementary/Middle School Art Show—Each year over 200 students in Walworth County Schools display their work and are recognized with certificates at a special reception. Family and friends are invited to this event. Join us for the 2026 art show on Sunday, April 19th! | Scholarships—The Walworth County Arts Council awards $2,000.00 scholarships for graduating seniors who are going to study one of the fine arts in college. The applicants must provide a high school transcript, three letters of recommendation, and a personal statement of their future plans. The student must also perform an audition and participate in a personal interview with professionals/artists in their field of study. | Ginny Hall’s Meandering Around Walworth County- Ginny is very well known as an enthusiastic county historian who provides surprising and amusing knowledge. She will provide another Meandering next spring, details to be announced. |
